    • Here’s my logical proof why I think there’s an error in this.

      Start with the second line,

      🧤 + 🧤 + 🥾 = 42

      2 🧤 + 🥾 = 42

      🥾 = 42 - 2 🧤

      Therefore

      42 - 2 🧤

      = An even number subtracted by an even number

      = an even number

      Therefore

      🥾 = an even number

      Therefore

      The first line below cannot equal an odd number.

    • I think this specific type of "puzzle" is very annoying, because it always ends up not being about math, but about trying to find the one little detail someone used to trick us. Here, there's a pair of gloves and then a single glove in line 2, meaning that the scarf doesn't have to be an even number. :)
