My gym has full-body cryotherapy now and according to a dozen top athletes like LeBron James and Steph Curry, it works to help them recover from workouts. Science Based Medicine is not so sure:
They conclude cryotherapy is plausible but unproven.
The gym also has Cryoskin, localized application of cold that they say melts your belly fat in a few simple treatments. They show before & after pics. I couldn't find many user reviews or science about that, but Shape magazine says it works:
