My spouse and I went out tonight at 9:30 pm to our local Krogers. Canned soups, macaroni and cheese, ground beef ( but they did have ground buffalo which we prefer ), paper towels of any kind were all gone. No bleach disinfectent wipes of course, either.
Eggs were low, but available. They did have potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce and broccoli, oranges and clememntines, and blueberries and rasberries. We're Hoosiers, and we're omnivores. 🥺
We could find bottled water, milk, beer, wine. But we can't buy beer or wine on Sunday here in Indiana.
The store had customers, but no waiting line for checkout and no panicking yet. 😊
Krogers gets restocked on Mondays and Tuesdays, locally, usually. Gasoline is plentiful at $1.79 gallon at Krogers.
I saw in another thread here on Cake, that a store was going to be open between 8 am and 8:30am for senior and immuncompromised folks only. That sounds like a great idea to me, but I do wonder how that is going to be enforced at the door...
