Triumph made the first day an acclimation day, I guess for safety? Kevin and I don't do acclimation, so we headed to the snow-covered Atlas Mountains, towering 13,000' above Marrakech.
Triumph wouldn't let us take a motorcycle, so we rented a car. Kevin's favorite was seeing the shepherds along the way, children, and small villages.
It got greener the closer we got to the mountains, I guess because snow melt:

When you get up high, it looks like it could be a swiss setting, but with Moroccan villages. Lots of pines covering the mountains, and terraces supporting fruit trees.
Just like the Sierras, a dry and desert on the East side. Looks like a great place for mountain biking and motorcycling. Note the little village accessible only by dirt road:
