These photos remind me of my days as an LDS missionary in Ironwood, Michigan. I served in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission and that included a sliver of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Ironwood was right on the snowy side of the border of what is called the snow belt. Just buckets and buckets of snow. Wild.
I used to live in Thunder Bay, Ontario in Canada just north of Duluth, Minnesota. Big snow belt area.
You lived in T-Bay? Nice! That was in my mission boundaries, too. I always wanted to get transferred up there because of how beautiful it is.
Update: places near me got as much as 70cm of snow. Over 2 feet!!!
