Tesla is a no-brainer as a technology company that manufactures electric vehicles. But beyond that name, I am drawing a blank on publicly traded stocks of companies that do good for climate change. Are there eco-friendly stocks that are highly traded on the NYSE or Nasdaq?
What is considered good business when it comes to the environment?
Pollution reduction technologies. Alternatives to plastics. Solar and wind power. Nuclear if you agree with the Gates Foundation. Electric battery research. Mass transit. Alternative building materials to concrete. Energy efficiency improvements to lighting. Saving the bees.
There’s so much coverage in the general news on Amazon, Microsoft and Google, to the exclusion of everything else it seems, that I could not name one major company involved in any of the above green businesses.
