I really can’t wait to watch this. I just saw Free Solo and holy cow was that intense!
I’ve been climbing for a bit now but am still pretty bad at it, lol! I’m always blown away by watching these climbers do what looks impossible to me. For some reason it seems more impressive to me than watching other star athletes in other sports. Perhaps it’s because the stakes are so much higher and also I know a tiny bit about what kind of razor thin holds they’re clinging on too. It’s like watching a magic trick.
I’ve read a little bit about this climb and it’s supposedly the hardest end to end big wall climb ever done in terms of shear technicality? I don’t know enough about it but it sounds like that’s the case. While the stakes were much higher with Honnold’s free solo ascent of the Freerider route, it sounds like the Dawn Wall is a much more difficult climb.
Looking forward to watching!
