A gentleman by the name of Dr. Morbius is helping to coordinate resources on alternatives to Google Plus—he’s how I found out about 🍰. One of his resources is a comments spreadsheet open to Google+ members to provide a comparison to Google+ features. However, it’s not completely filled out for Cake:

That's a lot of effort to find an alternative.

We’re in the midst of buying a new 🏠, so the effort seems reasonable by comparison.
