where were you?
Otter Creek Rd, which connects Wayah Rd and the famous Rt 28 (aka Moonshiner). It is mostly a power line/gravel road which climbs up the mountain and descends via switchbacks to the other side. It's very picturesque and I wish I would have pulled over more often for pictures, but it's also quite steep and narrow on exactly the sections with best views. I had to leave the Guzzi in gear to make sure it'll stay put.. If you zoom in - it shows where it crosses with the Appalachian Trail.
Kentucky? 😬
North Carolina.
The last year I was luckier, colors were better.
Mid November, grey wet skies, with trees mostly loft of leaves. But a few remain on the ground or patio still
And the beech trees won't let go of theirs until next spring...
I'll photoshop my bike out if needed ;-)
They have them at our Costco!
We don’t get a lot of autumn color but every now and then we get a tree... On my bike ride today:
The tree next to my house.
Even some oak trees are going yellow:
I was selling an old 35mm lens on eBay yesterday and I took a couple photos to show that it worked. These are beside my driveway:
I hear they just shut down the campgrounds in California due to the shelter-at-home order. I’m on my way home after camping for a few days at Bolsa Chica State Park/Beach in SoCal—glad I got to spend a few days there before the shut down.
This is what the beach looks like in late Autumn (early December)....
