Does anyone have any good ideas and/or online articles on how to teach critical thinking? For the record I teach critical thinking mostly to grades 8 and 9 but I want to improve how I teach it and I'm looking for ideas.

This sounds like the perfect audio series for you:

Scratch that lol. It's the same course you linked me too :) I have listened to hundreds of podcasts by Stephen Novella.

One of the best ways to teach critical thinking skills is through dialogically organized classrooms (dialogic literacy, etc.). One of the best articles I know on this is here: https://sites.ehe.osu.edu/bedmiston/files/2013/03/Aukerman-WiggleRoom-Comprehension.pdf . Dialogism is about prioritizing the meaning making process, and students' ideas, while centering on a shared text or set of facts, etc. It focuses on asking open questions, and nudging students to support their statements and meaning making with evidence. I'm happy to share more articles if it's of interest!

I'll check the link later but please do share more :)

Fascinating! I don't think I've ever heard the word dialogic before. Or the name Hairy Mygalomorphs. I'd love more links. 🧐
