    • Yeah, these buggers are so fast! This particular one was fairly relaxed - I was able to get much closer than I had expected. Maybe because I was standing by the tree when it showed up and I just stood there watching it for a few minutes. And I'm sure you know that moving very slowly is essential.

Here's an animation Google photos made automatically from a few of the shots I got with the moth in this flower.

    • Found a coin that was quite old. Older than me in fact. Thought it would make an interesting subject for a macro photo.

    • This week, I'd like to share with you a photo of a bee hard at work. Believe it or not, but I took this photo in the middle of an outdoor shopping center called Santana Row in San Jose.

There are big flower pots spread out along the sidewalk, and one of them had these beautiful yellow flowers. I hovered around this flower for at least a minute. The bee didn't mind me, and out of 20 shots, this one came out the best.

    • I visited the greenhouses of the Lyman Estate on Saturday. While it is a little before the prime blooming season for the camellias in their chilly section of the greenhouse I did find some camellias in bloom. Here's one in pink!
