It reminded me of the power of seeing a visually stunning movie on the big screen. I may actually see it again this weekend. @Chris already did a fabulous review here so I won’t repeat.

If you want to read the history of the missions from 1958 that led to the Apollo 11 Moon Landing in July, 1969, there’s a nice timeline here. Tom Wolfe’s The Right Stuff is a good read on the early test pilots whose risks led to the 1969 moon shot.

A couple interesting upcoming documentaries were previewed before the main event.

From DisneyNature, this penguin’s odyssey will be released on Earth Day.

The other film, The Biggest Little Farm, is a couple’s shift from city life to starting a sustainable farm. The cinematography is eye candy and you want to root for their success.
