    • Don't be so certain about who may or may not like hair bands from the 80s. There are many days that I just want to crank up "Uncle Tom's Cabin", play a little air guitar to "Here I Go Again", and remember the good ol' days when you could still see Motley Crue at Gazzari's on the Strip.

    • A memorable concert was Bad English opening for Whitesnake, late 80s in Orange County. John Waite, David Coverdale, Neil Schon, Steve Vai, Adrian Vandenberg, Jonathan Cain, Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge all in the same evening. Oh, my !

    • Another memorable hair band night was Accept opeing for Dio. Not too many people were familiar with Accept, a band from Germany who had worked with The Scorpions producer, Dieter Dierks.

      Another great air guitar anthem!

    • Hollywood in the 80s was the best place to see the classic hair bands. Gazzari's on the Sunset Strip was ground zero.

    • Dude, I was doing stage crew and security when Bad English performed at my college. The band’s gear was in boxes stenciled with the names of The Babys and of course Journey. I remember someone in the front row trying to jump on stage and a member of the stage crew tackling him down. Best live moment ever was when John Waite did an acoustic version of Missing You.

    • Good story, Stephen. Thanks for sharing. What a great band to see up close. I'm still a John Waite fan. Love his "Missing You" duet with Alison Krauss.
