The AP has announced that Joseph Biden has won the US Presidential election as of Saturday morning
President Trump, needless to say, has not conceeded yet.
More to come, for sure!

Glad Biden/Harris got it done!
No chance Trump concedes, btw.
Kamala Harris acceptance speech last night
Mr. Biden's acceptance speech last night
Both speeches were from the heart, and were met with great applause by the crowds in Delaware, and around the world.
I heard Kamala's speech on the radio as I drove and was so moved I cried. I came home to my wife and said we HAD to watch it, so we both watched it via YouTube on my iPad.
Wow, it's surprising how her expression and movements influence what you take from it. I actually liked it better in audio, but I loved it both times.
And Joe Biden's was amazing too. I notice it got a ton of downvotes on YouTube and angry comments tho. So senile he didn't appear to even know where he was, was one comment.
I watched the speeches live and was impressed by each of them. Ms Harris smile was ear to ear! Mr. Biden was thoughtful, credible, and definitely quite alert and aware.
Joe DOES get just a bit tongue tied at times, but given his history of speech difficulties as a child, only makes him more human.
I look forward to seeing their success dealing with America's problems.
I think so many people had such a constant build up of frustration and apprehension/fear under trump that it was finally a giant emotional relief to think we are done with that now. Huge sigh around the world.
The thing that gets me is he won the white vote in every category of white people, including college graduates and the young. The only group he lost a little ground with over the 4 years was the >65 group, who still voted for him in big numbers.
watch Fox News for a few years and you’ll understand.
I thought this article by Katie Couric was perfection:
Not sure because we’re afraid to bring it up... But here’s a probable indication:
It’s a perfect example of the lasting damage Trump, the Republicans and right wing media has done to people’s trust. This won’t be fixed in the next ten years.
So I’ve thought of this election as very close, a narrow win that almost didn’t happen. But I guess you could make the case that it was historic in how big a win it was:
So now we wait for the official electoral votes to be counted on December 14th , and find out if any Electors will all be faithless
I am deeply hoping that much of the controversy will end on December 14, and Mr Biden will be accepted by the nation.
If it does not, then I am not certain where things go next.
I am sincerely hoping 2021 is a much less exciting year.
