Donald Trump is taking shots at Mitch McConnell for his statements about the Capitol riot. Trump released a statement which in part reads:

"Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again."

It makes me wonder if McConnell wishes he had voted to convict. Thoughts?

Mitch McConnell, is now the victim of his own gutlessness.

He deserves whatever comes his way.

He delayed proceedings then went against his conscience, then tried to justify his position with a rant. 🙄

I agree.

I was appalled with his reason for not voting to convict when he is the individual who caused the impeachment to be filed with the senate after the end of the term.

I just didn't understand what McConnel was thinking. He inflamed both democrats and republicans.

And I don't understand what Trump is thinking either, aside from being insane and unable to control his temper. It's like feuding with McCain; it could cost you a state.

It's contradictory logic. "I think he's guilty, but I'm gonna let him off anyway." Mitch needed to man up and he failed to do so.

The only loser in this is McConnell.
