Time's like this Pandemic Period have few silver linings - but they do cause innovation and revisiting alternative ideas.
With shortages of masks, gloves, TP, and hand sanitizer a number of us have launched into finding and providing solutions.
I started researching sanitizing alternatives and looked at a number - UVC light, Hydrogen Peroxide mist, etc.
Then I found Hypochlorous Acid. I increased my interest when I heard that Delta Airlines was going to spray the airplane cabins between flights to disinfect them. It works in 15 seconds where UVC and bleach solutions take 30 to 60 minutes.
When I became dangerously educated and wanted to buy I realized I owned a huge HOCL reservoir in my own yard. I own a salt water pool - it uses salt and a cell containing polarized plates. In solution salt becomes Na (sodium) and Cl Chloride. When passed over a weak electrical field the CL is broken into two atoms of chlorine (Cl-). They combine with the water elements H and O to form a weak but powerful oxidizer HOCL aka hypochlorous acid. In concentrations above 20ppm it is a very effective sanitizer. If I run my hot tub section full blast for an hour I create a pot of >200ppm HOCL!

PS: After a dip in that hot tub pot I'm sure I'm sanitized for life!
