As I’m sure you all know, there was another mass shooting this week. This time in Colorado. And once again, politicians in the United States are debating gun control. The Democrats are calling for changes and bans on assault rifles while Republicans are insisting such changes won’t do anything. Republicans blame mental health issues (which isn’t necessarily wrong), but they don’t seem to really be interested in getting to the bottom of it. They instead seem to rather use mental health as a shield to deflect attention away from stricter gun laws.
My question to you all is this: Is America doomed to never figure out gun control or will the day finally come when sensible gun laws are enacted nationwide? Thoughts?
