Apparently there are 35 released Godzilla movies from the original film in 1954 through the present day.
While I've seen a decent amount of them, by no means have I seen all of them. Out of the ones I've seen - from the surreal 1964 masterpiece Godzilla vs. Mothra...
To the more modern feel of 1999's Godzilla 2000...
- I'd say that my favorite would have to be the lighthearted 1973 film Godzilla vs. Megalon. A few big reasons?
The lovable Jet Jaguar, a giant robot who helps support the side of good, but seems suspiciously similar to Ultraman.
Godzilla's legendary fighting skills as shown in the film. It may look like Godzilla is napping, but they're just building up momentum by tail-gliding in midair for a major kick...
And last, but not least, the Seatopians (aka annoyed Atlantis-type inhabitants), whose sense of style is inimitable.

And compare and contrast to the trailer for the next Godzilla film in theaters this May 31, 2019, for Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
I am looking forward to this May! It's nice to know that no matter how styles change, Godzilla's presence is a constant.
