My almost-three-year-old son loves Super Mario Run. He plays on easy mode, though he probably doesn't need to any more.

Can you recommend any PC platformers that are satisfying, but buck the trend of requiring super-precise timing and stringing together many difficult moves?

I'm not sure how many of them are still available (maybe on Gog?), but the old Apogee shareware games from the 90s like Commander Keen, Crystal Caves, Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure, and Duke Nukem (the original platformer, not the FPS) were tons of fun. I spent sooooo many hours playing those!
