Norton Commando with Dunstall pipes
Oh my God. What is it about Nortons. I stare at them and just can't take my eyes off the graceful beauty. And that sound. I've always wanted one so bad.

I am mostly justifying this potential purchase as a photo prop. One of my clients has me deep into Mid Century Modern history here in Vegas and I have become versed on many locations around Vegas that incorporating one of these old 750/4's makes a good photo prop. I also tell myself I would ride it to the coffeeshop, but, I don't hang out like that. I think it would be a fun little chapter and muse for some creative stuff.
As a former owner of a GS850G I suggest that use as a photo prop is the most apt application for the conveyance.
Of course I omitted the other obvious entry in the list of superlative sounds - A 900 Darmah with Conti pipes.
One of my neighbour's bikes:
One of the best moto logos of all time IMHO
Sound isn't perfect - cheapo camera at the rear was too near the exhaust, but this thing sounds great from helmet high.
I have tested the Zeros. Was duly impressed. But honestly, the places where I’d want a Zero are like the White Rim Trail/Moab, or somewhere out on a BDR where the whole world is quiet—and of course, the range does not work for places like that. :(
