The man who bought us the Alien franchise and Blade Runner has new work coming out soon.
Unfortunately we don't get HBO in New Zealand so I'm not sure if or when I may get to see it.

This looks very interesting - HBOMax streaming - worldwide maybe???
Edit added a day later ------
I checked on Apple TV+ and "Raised by Wolves" is available on HBOMax via streaming in central Indiana, and thus, I suspect the entire USA. I am not currently a subscriber to HBOMax, I need to drop it from my cable package first. Raised by Wolves may give me the incentive to do just that. I was released for streaming on Sept 3rd, 2020.
I'm 5 episodes in - soon to be 6.
It's good. Ridley good.
An interesting thing plot-wise is that they are all flawed anti-heroes - except for the kid.
I'll be joining you soon - I can now sign up for HBOMax and stream "Raised by Wolves" - so careful with the spoilers now 😄
What a great title - like the founding of Rome... Romulus and Remus. raised by the She Wolf
Interesting - I have tried three times to post the emoji in the paragraph above and it consistently it does NOT display to the reader as the one I chose - I chose a smiling face but see a different face with an open mouth after hitting Update - wierd? I wonder what is going on now.
It's fantastic. I need to finish it (about halfway through) and am consistently surprised with each episode's twists and turns. The visuals are what you'd expect from a Ridley Scott production as well!
Are we talking about this yet?
I finished it tonight, saw the finale. I must say I was very disappointed.
The visuals were well done, the actors were credible, but I felt the story line was not believable, nor internally consistent. It was like a group of people were asked to write a novel, and a different person wrote each chapter without reading the other chapters, nor discussing with the other authors.
It just didn't seem internally consistent at all. But I tend to favor "hard" science fiction, and this was certainly not hard science fiction, but a kind of futuristic fantasy to me.
I was really looking forward to this series, and I almost feel like I wasted my time.
I won't say more because I would begin to write spoilers for those who aren't finished yet.
But big snakes? Really? That fly? Come on!
Completely agree. It totally jumped the shark for me at episode 6. The last few I watched on Fast forward - just to see what happened. Couldn't be arsed with how far off course it ran.
Shame, cause it started so well.
Jumped the shark is definately what I felt watching Episode 10. We'll see what the next season brings.
😃 I'm not alone, that seem certain! I am not nearly as excited about season two, sadly. Yes, mother was the best role, and she's on the far side of the world now. if she survived.
