Like most people here, I’m relatively new to Cake coming from Google plus where I had all the functionality as described by others above, while it’s easy to say I want what I had, it’s worth trying what Cake has to offer and seeing if it works for what you want to get, maybe it will give us more in a different way than we were expecting if we just had what we already had. By having something new it will force us to think differently to how we have in the past, thou uncomfortable at first it may actually lead us somewhere unexpected. It’s worth giving it a go and experimenting / playing for a while before we start asking for what we had elsewhere, if after a month or so of no joy and the helpful support we are getting here can not offer an alternative, then it’s probably time to suggest changes, but I feel we should first give what’s here as is a serious go, which means uploading content into the system and seeing how it all interacts. If we make cake into what google plus was it may end up where google plus is going. If others have been here for longer than a couple of weeks then their points may need consideration, but I believe it will take a few weeks of playing with panels, topics and conversations, to see just how powerful a Cake we have now. Tinkering from the original framework may not lead to a happy place. In the mean time let’s play and have fun.
