We acquired a telescope several years ago that was collecting dust in a closet. Our new place has amazing unblocked views of the nighttime sky and so over Thanksgiving weekend, after everyone is good and stuffed from Thanksgiving dinner, we plan to go outside and do some stargazing. On my wife’s phone is one of those star finder apps, which we’ll use to help zero in on constellations and other interesting celestial bodies. If you are an astronomy buff, what are your favorite things to gaze at this time of year? Any chance of seeing a satellite or the European Space Station?
(I realize that there’s a 99% chance that that last question is ridiculous, but with so many amateur and professional photographers on Cake I figure it’s worth an ask.)
