    • Please post your best Macro shots of the day: flowers, bugs, insects, rocks, etc. Where did you take this shot, and is there a story behind it? What camera and settings did you use?

I took this photo walking up the hills of Bedwell Bayfront Park in Menlo Park. It is full spring in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the flowers are blooming everywhere. When I asked my friend what these flowers were, he said they are just weeds. I think they are beautiful, weeds or not.

      Camera: Sony RX100 V

      Settings: f3.2 8.8mm, 1/1250, ISO 125

    • really like this

I do see the obvious difference here between phone and camera. Really nice shot!! Another man’s “weed” is a flower!!!

    • My macro selection for today is a favorite from the past. This chrysanthemum posed for me during a chrysanthemum festival at Longwood Gardens.

It was taken with a Fuji X-T2, XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro lens, f/5.6

I look forward to spring when I can share current flowers!
