A while ago, I asked for suggestions regarding a new bike here:
I've now visited a couple of nearby shops, and there's one model that might be of interest. It is a "street" variant of a mountain bike - the manufacturer has it in the "cross country street" section of their catalogue, but whether that term really means anything beyond marketing, I don't know. :)
I'm generally happy with the features this bike has to offer, except for one detail: there are variants with 27.5" and 29" tires, and I'm having a hard time deciding what might be best for me.
There is a discussion about these tire sizes in the context of "trail bikes":
but I assume that the pros and cons there don't really translate to "cross country" or "everyday" use - so I'm starting this discussion to get some ideas about what and why would be the better variant for me.
Is there a scenario where one tire size would be notably better or worse than the other?
