    • I paddle in the waters off Vancouver Island's Saanich Peninsuala, and live a half mile from where I put into the water. To get there I put my kayak on a cart & pull it to my launching point. I originally used my old canoe wheels with inflatable tires. But these did not work well pulling the kayak over the beach.

    • I have swithced to a C Tug Kayak Cart which works better on the sand, mud & rocks found on the beach.

    • Another plus of this cart is that it comes apart & fits inside my boat.

    • I also find it holds the boat more securely than my old canoe cart

    • For short hauls I carry some short lengths of abs pipe that make good rollers
