The company that made the Antarctica expedition drones currently has 20 sail drones in operation, which are typically in the water for up to a year.
Personally, I think the fact that it can hear dolphin and whale calls from dozens of miles away is the coolest attribute, but professional athletes, government agencies and big data risk management firms are more interested in the non-dolphin/non-whale data it provides.
