    • As promised last time, my Photowalk of the Big Island of Hawaii.

The island of Hawaii is by far the largest of the 8 islands, so large, you could fit Maui, Kauai, Oahu and the others into the Big Island, and then some.

So my friend Jan suggested I not try to pack it all into one video. Good idea Jan!

This will be a three-parter, starting in Hilo Town, the Rainbow Falls, caves and downtown, then next week taking the 4-mile scenic drive through lush rainforest, visiting the even bigger Akaka Falls, exploring the Hawaii Volcano National Park and eventually ending on the west side of the island, Kona-Kailua.

For newbies to the island of Hawaii: Hilo is the "wet" lush side, while Kona is more consistently warm.

Hilo gets more rainfall than anywhere else in the United States--but good news, it's in the middle of the night.

Check out the video above for some really cool lush greenery, and please let me know what you think!
