Do you think he will follow through? Is this just a tantrum or a well thought out plan to reduce their costs anyway?

spoilt petulant snowflake
With the Gigafactory already in Nevada seems a logical move, but overly dramatic as always
He just did a two-hour podcast with Joe Rogan, and, as usual, he was super controversial. I couldn’t listen to it because I feel like Elon and Joe both are huge vectors of misinformation about human health issues, but this short summary was pretty good.
He sued.
Hmm, does he have a point?
He just defied the order and asked to be arrested.
He would save billion$.
Elon Musk is probably the most important person alive today but he’s being a dink in this case. Just my opinion.
Molly (a resident of Alameda County) has *no time* for the dude.
It’s an insignificant amount of money in the scheme of things, but California just flipped the bird at Elon Musk.
A California state panel on Friday rejected a request from Elon Musk's SpaceX for $655,500 in state job and training funds, citing the chief executive's recent threats to move Tesla, the electric carmaker that he also runs, out of the state.
"In my opinion, given the recent threats of the CEO to leave the state of California, and everything else we’ve discussed today, this proposal does not rise to the level for me to feel secure in supporting it," said Gretchen Newsom, a panel member and the political director of an IBEW electrical workers union local.
On why getting Elon Musk to move to your state may not be all its cracked up to be.
I had no idea that there was more hype than substance over the benefits from some of his existing factories.
People need to know that Musk’s financial history means Texas won’t get him for free.
Look at his California operations, and you’ll see it required subsidies totaling $1 billion just to get the plants open, and now within a decade, he’s already looking at leaving.
Nevada was no different with its billion-dollar subsidy to get a Tesla plant open. They won a massive bidding war against several contenders, and what did they get for their troubles? Housing issues, a historically dangerous factory, and jobs for a company that’s losing market share in the US, Europe, and China despite mountains of hype.
Musk’s other ventures have seen similar results. How did New York land his solar cell operation? Nearly $1 billion to get that controversial project completed. Since then, it has underperformed to the point where the company has reportedly filed for a one-year waiver of its job creation commitment to avoid a massive penalty.
I would like to know which tweets he thinks were dumb.
Well, he’s certainly not going to move Tesla during this quarter—he needs to make a profit in order to get onto the S&P500 index.
Fantastic interview with the man:
