I swear cake was here....... 😉
I swear cake was here....... 😉
Well, my first interaction on Cake.co should definitely be just that... cake. This was a groom's cake designed to look like a Green Egg BBQ pit. Leave it to the groom to have this cake featured in Martha Stewart Weddings and not the bride's :)
Welcome to Cake, Dustin. 😁 Looks like you have quite a wedding photography business going.
Thanks, Chris. It's been over 15 years since I started my photography business after I emerged with my photography degree. I have to admit, I came across you guys a few days ago while I was experiencing an existential social media crisis. It's really nice to congregate in a beautiful clean environment such as this. I've known @thomashawk and @treyratcliff for a long time although I may not have been as "hands on" as they have in developing online communities. However, I'd love to help grow Cake if I can. I'm really enjoying what you've created here and I'm happy to help in any way I can.
This is a picture of a cake that a neighbour made after our community suffered from a significant flood in June 2013. It was a tough summer of rebuilding our homes, and we are all a bit twitchy during the spring run-off, but the cake signified our strength as a community and our gratitude for each other.
I also recall it went well with red wine!
This thread is so meta and I love it. My birthday was on Sunday and I had the most epic cake ever! I'm a writer working on my first manuscript, and my son has a CHD (congenital heart defect) so my husband and cake designer put their heads together on this beauty.
Not only is it freaking awesome on the outside, but it was the most delicious off the wall flavor on the inside too - IPA spice cake with a red apple soak and cinnamon cream cheese frosting.
This is a great idea and I love it. My whole neighborhood was just lost to a fire so I'll have to do the same thing once everyone gets done rebuilding.
Also, pro tip: if you'd have spelled the word "neighbors" correctly it would have fit :-P ;-)
Haha, but that would have been the wrong spelling in Canada. :-D
Spell checker is context-sensitive? For the cake?
What a novel idea... 🤣😅🤣😅
do donuts count as cake?
I'm going to go with no. But damn those look good.
I'm voting YES! Those are cake donuts!
first post here, I think I am liking this place :)
they didn’t last very long :)
or donut cakes :)
I'm not surprised in the least. Now you get to be jealous because I still have cake left from my birthday \o/
My daughter's first birthday cake!
That's awesome, Adam! Who made that? I can't tell what the dragon is made out of. Is it icing?
Welcome to Cake. 😁
Holy cow! I'd almost feel bad eating that! Almost.
Hello Chris! A friend made it for us, I think the dragon is mostly fondant. 🐉
This recycled half-eaten Frankenstein cake was to celebrate the combined birthdays of my grandfather, aunt and uncle, hence the 213. Would have been a heck of a lot of candles. 😂 I have no idea why they just didn’t buy a new cake but it was a good laugh and quite tasty none the less.
Here's one of many at an event that my wife organized earlier this year.
I love that book! What a gorgeous celebration of a fun book :D
Just place a few candles on top and no one will know the difference.
As a kid, I got to choose my birthday cake. My birthday cake was always cherry pie.
