These are great. I'm quite partial to this one because it reminds me of the arts of Divination in the ancient world. Divination was the ability to peek into the minds of the gods in order to see what they had in store for us, or at least to see what they favoured. Favorite methods including reading the patterns on the livers or intestines of freshly killed sacrificial animals (usually sheep or goats), or the patterns written on a freshly plucked bird skin, or in the night stars. Astrology, was the ability to read the 'writing of the gods' in the night sky. I suppose if the ancient Babylonians had macro lenses, they might have developed 'mykomancy' - the reading of fungus - too.
