    • Gimbals need to be treated very carefully. Do you have a drone? There are many times when you get error messages that say "Gimbal motor overloaded" and things like that. The last error message cost $175 to fix, as I couldn't do it manually.

The small Pocket is dragged around like a smartphone, and that's not good for a gimbal. I last used the review unit when the gimbal stopped operating.

Aside from that, good footage, and fantastic panos.

    • You beat me to it and I'm glad you did because your review had the most important details of all the reviews I read this morning Mostly the ones I read stopped at "front-facing display for selfies: killer feature."

I don't want to know how much I've spent on GoPro cameras and mounts and DJI drones and hand-held stabilizers. My closet must have 20 items I haven't yet eBayed or I broke.

Anyway, your review spared me from buying one more thing and be happy with the GoPro 7. I thought about the front-facing display and at first I thought I'd like it while doing something like cliff jumping, but I'm not going to be looking at the display when I do that.

    • Thanks @chris, The front facing selfie is great for vloggers--but, but, but, the internal microphone stinks. I tried recording some walk and talk, and got so much wind I couldn't use any of it.

GoPro has a very pricey $50 external mic accessory, but at least it works. I use it all the time. There's no way currently to plug a mic into the Osmo.
