    • It has been very interesting to watch the rise of plant-based milks. By some estimates plant milk has 50% market share.

      I assumed by plant butter people meant margarine but this Forbes article was interesting because they describe it as something different. We like Kite Hill plant yogurt which is made from cultured almonds.

      When I read "plant-based butter", I immediately thought "why the need for a fancy new name for margarine?" - good to see I'm not the only one with that reaction. ;)

      I couldn't really find out what exactly the difference is supposed to be, but I'm definitely going to try this. I prefer butter to margarine because the latter often tastes hollow (for lack of a better term), and sometimes even leaves a numb feeling on tongue and palate. If they manage to avoid this with their new recipes, why not?

    • I’ve been a fan of Kite Hill brand as well, mostly for their plant-based yogurts. I haven’t see this butter alternative before. Now that it is on my radar, I’ll get one to try at Whole Foods.

      There has been a lot more home cooking happening around in our household. Time to expand my plant-based horizons. 😜
