Before heading out to Utah for a family reunion, my sister and I spent a couple of days in Las Vegas. The one show we saw was MJ Live, a tribute show honoring the late Michael Jackson. I’m a big fan of the King of Pop and highly recommend it to any Michael Jackson fan visiting Vegas. I’m pretty picky about people doing his music because he was so good, but the people at MJ Live really do a fantastic job.
The opening song that they did was “Wanna Be Startin’ Something” from the Thriller album. Michael Jackson often would open with this song as well.
A little nod to Michael Jackson’s third solo album “BAD.” Fun fact: The BAD 25 album features a bunch of cool bonus tracks. My favorite is Streetwalker. Such a groovy baseline.

Lastly, Franca is break dancing to close out Billie Jean. I gotta say, his moves are really good. Tough to dance as good as MJ, but he does a really good job at mimicking his moves. Like I said, really a fun show. They do a great job of paying respect and homage to the King of Pop, which is not easy to do. The show is about an hour long, doing a really nice job of going through his biggest hits.
And Leo is a great show if you're not a fan. :-)
I am also a fan of the great Michael and I don't like listening to his songs sung by others, but if you say it was good I believe you. Listening to his songs is always a great emotion and thinking that he is no longer there gives me so much sadness 💔
I’m a huge fan and used to feel the same way. But I’ve grown to appreciate MJ tribute artists. Make sure you check out Michael Trapson on YouTube. He does a killer job keeping MJ’s legacy alive. He also puts his own creative spin on MJ, which is really cool.
