When my sons bought Flickr I cringed a little, hoping they knew what they were getting into when it came to children's photos being used in awful ways online. To their immense credit, they hired a trust & safety team that includes an ex-policewoman who is one of the best people I know.
While the other social media companies don't talk specifics, I was surprised and proud to see Don mention a case publicly:
That got me interested in Thorn, the child exploitation non-profit Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore founded, and Julie Cordura, the CEO who runs it. She gave a TED talk with 2 million views that was inspirational but terribly hard to watch:
Thank God for people who do this work. It can't be fun.
