In Huntington Beach, surf is everything.

There's the Surfing Walk of Fame, the International Surfing Museum, the world's largest surfboard and of course, folks are "either out surfin' or they got a party growin'" per Jan & Dean.

And when you bring your camera to document Surf City for a #Photowalk, gee, everybody's got a surfboard under their arms, even at the local Subway.

I believe many of the Cake enthusiasts live in Northern California, where Santa Cruz locals say is the real Surf City. I'm not a surfer, but this much I know: better, bigger, awesome waves in Santa Cruz, but more consistent ones in Huntington Beach. That, and it's warmer.

But the Santa Cruz environs are way prettier.

Huntington Beach is about an hour’s drive from Los Angeles, the second of the Orange County Beach Cities. We’ve done #Photowalk videos in all of them: Seal BeachHuntington Beach, Newport BeachBalboa Island and Laguna Beach.

We even did one on Santa Cruz, but was rushed and didn't give it justice. So look forward to returning later this year and giving it another try.
