I got a nice invite to Photowalk the Tournament of Roses Parade as the floats were being constructed at the Fiesta facility in Irwindale, California.
Thank you Stefan!
My expectation: lots of roses being applied to float characters. The reality: roses get added at the last minute, and I was too early for that. Instead, you're looking at floats are made out of wood, and adorned with spices, nuts, seeds, bark, fruits and vegetables. As you’ll discover in the video, is that a whole lot of other ingredients make up the majority of the floats.
Take a look at the photo below and those tiger eyes, full of peas. Well, there's something I'd never noticed before. Pretty cool, right?
(@Chris is this envy material?)
