I couldn't believe that the USA had potentially lost about 2 dozen F22 jets worth billions of dollars because they weren't in service and were unfliable when the hurricane approached. Then I found out about Canada's situation and realized we were losing the cost of a super fighter each day because we can't get a simple pipeline build. I was thinking both countries are stupid but then it occured to me. Maybe building jets that complicated is more stupid than leaving them there. Maybe spending that much on killing machines is more stupid yet. Maybe building pipelines and burning oil is more stupid than giving it away or blocking the building of pipelines. What is stupid? How long term should a country focus on? Maybe Canada is losing billlions of dollars now because we don't have a pipeline to ship our product to other markets but maybe, just maybe, building the pipeline will cost us even more in the future. Time will tell I guess.
