I've read through some of the panel conversations hosted here by Victoria and I have some requests because from my perspective the conversations don't look natural.
The current flow is Victoria writes a sentence or two then the interviewee writes an essay in response then Victoria writes another sentence and we get another essay in response. To me it reads in a very choppy manner and it doesn't feel like a natural conversation. It's as if it were entirely scripted where Victoria and the interviewee agree upon prewritten specific questions and answers so it's like I'm reading a marketing firm instead of a person showing their humanity.
The other issue besides the length of questions and responses is the questions don't flow together like a real conversation. Each question and answer is like a set and then the conversation moves on. That doesn't happen in real conversations with people. Real conversations go all over the place but each question or response clearly follows the other and relates to a general broad topic.
Back in the Reddit AMA days it made sense to be prepared to answer totally unrelated questions because questions were posed by thousands of people interested in the person or topic. I think if you're trying to host an actual panel conversation here it should read like a conversation.
