Zwift has built in workouts (special mode) and group workouts that you can join with others. They are a lot more fun than just watching a video. I would recommend having 2 screens: one for Zwift and one for “Distractions” such as music videos, movies or whatever works for you. They also have many long term coached plans (built inside the game) that are highly structured and can be fully optimized for you based on your FTP.
I used to go on youtube and find indoor cycling videos to watch while I was on the trainer. I avoided the spin class type but really enjoyed the ones that showed the countryside. I used the advanced search feature and chose the longest videos I could find.
My favourite one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQke2Nn9gLg
Here's a channel that has plenty of videos for indoor spinning
Here's the names of some I found on Youtube:
Mallorca Classic Race 2013 first Mountain Cycling Video for Indoor Training 60 Minute HD
German Road Cycling Video for Indoor Bike Training 60 Minute Full HD
Uphill Extreme 2014 Part 1
I have a lot more if anyone's interested.
Great thread to start Shay!
Shay, there is a dedicated YouTube playlist Train with GCN follow along spin class at home.
Another alternative to the awesome and free videos that @cvdavis has found on YouTube could be a Sufferfest Videos. You'll have to pay for them or sign up for their entire program but they are high quality and fun.
If you have a premium Strava account you get access to some of the Sufferfest videos free. You used to anyway :)
