Having grown up in a fairly small town I found this particular article pretty true to life as I remember it.
So nice to read about all of the ways folks in small towns can work together to make life better for everyone.
The author, David Brooks, says, "Everybody says rural America is collapsing. But I keep going to places with more moral coherence and social commitment than we have in booming urban areas. These visits prompt the same question: How can we spread the civic mind-set they have in abundance?"
And I totally agree. I miss the small town feeling.
