I traveled from LA to Denver last week. I was concerned prior to the trip about travel itself. I found that having taken precautions, I would do it again.
I am generally a cautious person, but for personal reasons felt I needed to take this trip. There were three things I was concerned about wrt Covid-19 - airports, safety while in flight, and safety in Denver. I expected to do the same semi-isolation that we do in LA and found that visiting my son, it was just as easy. LAX and DEN were surprisingly empty. One could easily stay 60 feet (not a typo) away from others in the airports. There were no more that 2 in front of me at the security checkpoints. These were the only place where one needed to be relatively close to others because there were so many TSA personnel per square foot. I flew Delta which is still keeping middle seats open. Everyone on the plane had a mask and Delta supplied wipes to allow one to cleanse your personnel area. They also claim to cleanse the entire plan before every flight. I still would have felt a bit uncomfortable on the plane, but I had an N95 mask left over from last year's fire season. With that nice tight fitting mask, I felt very comfortable on the flight. I would do it again.
