    • I noticed lately when inserting links to my personal photos hosted on smugmug, the image appears with the smugmug brand. I wonder if this is by design and if not, whether that watermark could be removed.

    • When linking to images hosted outside of Cake, we now show the hostname of the link on the image.

This isn't a branding thing; it's just meant to help people understand what site they'll be taken to if they click the link, since the image isn't hosted on Cake.

    • This makes sense, though to me it looked less cluttered before. And seeing the name of the hosting web site (for which I am a paid subscriber) gave me a sense of "brand" on my own pictures. But now I understand why it was done.

As side question, I am curious if you could share if any thoughts or plans are in place at Cake regarding pictures and media in general, if a more streamlined upload and manipulation within posts will be coming.

      Thank you...

Yep, we have lots of ideas along these lines. We'd like to allow multiple image uploads per post and more advanced image placement options. There's a fair amount of design and engineering work needed to make that happen though, and we have a loooooong todo list, so please don't get mad if it takes us a little while. 😄

    • For me, it's exciting to see how you all are building this site from the ground up, with people already living in it. Must be exciting for sure! 🤓
