Below is one of my favorite Chinese characters called “Biáng.” Pronounced with a second tone. It is the name of a certain kind of noodle called “Biáng Biáng Miàn” from the Shaanxi Province. It is the most complicated Chinese character in the world, though technically, it is not in the dictionary. What makes Biáng so cool is all the different components: The moon off to the left, the horse in the middle, the knife off to the right, the heart at the bottom, and more! While there’s a lot to it, I find it to be really beautiful!
