I am getting excited about an upcoming Kauai trip....and, with CES in town this week here in Vegas there is some chatter about underwater drones and drones in general.
I have only been to CES once...but, I abhor these large trades shows because they are exhausting and just too intense with all the people.
BUT.....these underwater "scooters" seem like decent idea of an underwater gimbal of sorts.
Since I don't really "dive" and mostly into shooting stuff less than 15' deep (best lighting without having to spend $$$ on supplemental lighting) and my most current camera housing is a pistol grip. The problem with the pistol grip is it is difficult underwater to shoot video and keep your horizontal planes in tact.
So, even though these batteries only last about 30 minutes, I like how this could sort of act as a gimbal. Has anyone tried an "underwater scooter"?
These run about $700 on Amazon.
