    • I agree. I mentioned the report of plague for its emotional resonance, rather than real risk. Unless you are working outside in the reported area around mice or other rodents.

      Plague is quite treatable today, if recognized in a timely manner - that is why the reports are publicized, so that physicians remember to consider plague in a differential diagnosis of an unusual infectious disease.

      It’s just another bump in the road through 2020. 😬

      The case in Mongolia is interesting, because many medical historians believe marmots are the original source of plague infested fleas that caused the Black Death back in the 14th century.
