Do you believe everything you watch on Seinfeld?
For example, do you believe that senior citizens can get man boobs and need a “manzeeer” or a “bro”? According to the science, man boobs are a condition that can occur at various stages of the lifecycle, including senior years:
“The development of enlarged breasts in men is nothing new: It is a rather common medical condition called gynecomastia. Gynecomastia can arise when the body makes less testosterone relative to estrogen. These fluctuations in sex hormones can happen as a newborn develops, during puberty or as a result of aging. In the young, the situation usually resolves on its own as hormones balance out.
“Men with this condition can opt for breast reduction surgery or wear a compression vest.”
It’s interesting to me when you learn that a ridiculous story line is actually real. It’s like learning that Play Now! or Krueger Industrial Smoothing are actual conpanies. Or that the maniacal founder of the quantum computing company in Devs is an actual person.
Have you ever come across a tv show episode where an element mentioned felt like a creation from a writer’s imagination, however, you later learned that it actually existed? The Star Trek communicator could be viewed as equivalent to today’s smartphone devices, however, I’m looking for something that existed at the time an episode premiered, or within a few years of it.
