    • Somewhere high in the rockies riding this summer taking shots as I was riding, stopping, photo, ride, stop, photo, rinse and repeat, some of the time sitting on my bike, sometimes not.

I'm sure this has happened to a lot of you, you stop to take a shot and drop the lens cover. Get off the bike dust it off and carry on.

This time around a small part of the inner plastic spring broke, tried to MacGyver it with some steel epoxy putty, mild success followed by failure.

    • I guess I complained about it enough that my phone and AI started feeding me ads for a company called KUVRD.

A rubberised lens cap with a universal fit. I ignored it...a lot!

...but it kept showing up, so eventually I ordered one. Honestly what was the point of ordering a new lens cap for the same to happen again?

It arrived and I was impressed, the quality and fit was tight and secure, so good to stop dust entering my lenses on or off the camera, I ride in dirty dusty condition a lot, and that fine dust gets everywhere.

The fit of the initial one was good but not great I guess I ordered the wrong size as they have a few. I contacted them to do a return for the next size down. KUVRD replied almost instantly, telling me not an issue, as it was Christmas to keep the one I had and they would send me a replacement. Free of charge, and it arrived 2 days later...amazing customer service.

    • They were overly generous and sent me a few, so now not only can I cover the one lens with the missing cap I can cover a few different ones

To give you an idea of fitment, I think this image shows it the best on a 12mm lens with the body being a lot smaller than the end of the lens

A perfect snug fit to stop anything getting in there. Very easy to remove with one hand

I am glad you are giving them a good review and mentioning their customer service, after the disaster you had with the motorcycle parts.

Btw, did they know you do reviews when you called them?
