If you're a Millennial (or above), chances are you remember the twilight years of Toys 'R' Us, a beloved childhood store chain that sold toys and had a cuddly mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe.
Getting to go to Toys 'R' Us was definitely a treasured memory for so many.
I visited their New York City Times Square flagship store before it closed, and it was incredible, with an indoor Ferris wheel and multiple levels of experiences and toys.
So with all that in mind, it was a sad day for kids, parents and toy fans everywhere when Toys 'R' Us announced bankruptcy in September 2017. Was it the end for this beloved bastion?
Doesn't look like it! As per Bloomberg, Toys 'R' Us is poised to plan an e-commerce and select store re-opening in time for the 2019 holiday season. And there's more nostalgia on the way.
