Some good advice from Stanford dieticians.
The advice there that I try to use the most is to eat more fruits and veggies. Fill up on delicious ones and you won't be quite so hungry for the sweets.
I also have made it a habit to take small portions of something, especially if it is not something I have actually tried before. And I no longer feel obligated to eat more than a tiny bite if it is not "worth the calories." Sometimes, for instance, brownies might look very enticing. But if they are not really some of the best brownies ever then I discreetly discard them.
If anyone has advice please share.
